BikBos’ product were developed to tackle two major IT problems that Small and Mid-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are facing today:

    * Traditional ERP was developed with proprietary technologies; it is hard to modify and difficult to implement; it requires in-house IT organization to maintain or out-sourcing it to a service provider. Despite the approach, it requires tremendous resource.

    * Traditional ERP cannot fulfill the increasing demand of e-business because it was designed as a back-end application; it was designed in pre-Internet age. Countless B2B and e-Commerce products have been developed in the past ten years to meet e-Business demands. Unfortunately these were just temporary solutions that further created a much bigger problem - system integration between e-Business and ERP. Company ends up maintaining not just back-end ERP but also e-Business application and a thick layer of integration. All these add up to huge cost and in-efficiency IT infrastructure.

The above mentioned problems are technological problems. BikBos’ solution focuses at the root cause of ERP itself. Our solution re-invents ERP by new design set upon the following premises:

    * Simplicity - Client-server is in fact becoming obsolete. Future enterprise application must be web-based, all user need is a browser, no more no less. Business functions should be designed and organized as objects/services

    * Affordable - Companies should never be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for IT infrastructure. They should be able to use ERP as services on the web

    * Openness - ERP should be easy to integrate, modify and scale

    * e-Business - Business today can’t be fully operative without e-business capability. Rather be an integrated component of ERP, e-Business should be the presentation layer of ERP.

BikBos’ product is a set of Integrated Services that share data and work cooperatively with each other to offer company a unique environment to manage its activities in a simple, concentrated way. It has two main modules, WERP and WVS.

WERP is the web-based ERP that provides all the core functions of ERP. With Object/Services Oriented design and architecture, the core ERP functions are registered as Services/Objects that can be quickly assembled to meet requirements of specific business sector such as retail, manufacturing, services, etc. You can deploy WERP at one location and still have visibility of all business activities across all locations.

WVS is an application layer that turns a storage location (i.e. physical store, warehouse) being managed under WERP into online store. Just as WERP allows companies to manage multiple locations, WVS allows them to manage as many online stores as they want. BikBos provides a simple way to convert a physical store data into an online store. In fact, with BikBos application, on-line store (or so call e-commerce site) is just a presentation layer of WERP.
